The All Consuming World of WORK...

Greetings dear readers.
Amusingly, many of you may not have noticed my prolonged absence from the literary realm. "Why?" you may ask. Well, it seems that holding down a "real" job can be somewhat of a quandary for writers. Sure, paying bills and affording luxuries, like food and fuel are nice and all but when one is busy with work, literary endeavors usually get de-prioritized. Case in point. I am currently managing construction for a telecommunications company from Sweden, that is implementing 4G LTE for a major US wireless provider. I can't reveal which one. Let's just say it's not AT&T, T-Mobile or Sprint. At any rate, I have been busy with building the technological infrastructure of tomorrow. That, dear readers, is why I have written neither jack nor squat, in months.
Like many authors, I find it difficult, if not impossible, to write under the mentally and physically demanding conditions of intense work. Amusingly, without adequate funds to live comfortably and not have to work, I can't write. Sadly, the choice to work and have enough money to live but not be able to write was a most difficult one. Sacrifices had to be made.
Will I write again? You bet your sweet ass, I will! When? Who knows? I am making every effort to strike that seemingly impossible balance between work and writing. I hope and pray that someday, I find it.
So mote it be.
